Research Focus

My research focuses on the interaction between the respiratory and cardiovascular systems in critically ill patients. In particular, I study the impact of mechanical ventilation on the right ventricle. I also study mechanisms of lung injury and means to personalize respiratory support to optimize lung physiology in patients with acute respiratory failure.
