Marie Brossard-Racine, a researcher in pediatric neuroscience, receives a 2024 Rising Star in Bio-Imaging in Quebec

Marie Brossard-Racine OT, PhD, a scientist at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC), will receive the 2024 Rising Star in Bio-Imaging in Quebec award from the Quebec Bio-Imaging Network (QBIN). Highlighting the work of an emerging researcher in the field of bio-imaging, this award will be presented to two recipients on May 23 at the QBIN Scientific Day, hosted by Concordia University. Marie Brossard-Racine will deliver a keynote lecture at the event.

To investigate the underlying mechanisms of function and dysfunction in children at risk for neurodevelopmental disorders, Marie Brossard-Racine’s research approach combines advanced quantitative magnetic resonance imaging with clinically relevant evaluation. This work aims to promote early detection of non-optimal brain and/or functional development in at-risk pediatric populations. She is a scientist in the Child Health and Human Development Program and Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation at the RI-MUHC and Associate Professor, School of Physical and Occupational Therapy in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, McGill University.
