Clinical Trials

Our Services

Clinical trials are studies in which people help doctors find ways to develop new treatments and medications for diseases and conditions.

At the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC), over 460 researchers conduct and collaborate on many different kinds of research activities, including human subject research.

With more than 1,500 clinical research studies currently underway and over 135,000 people participating in these studies, the RI-MUHC is committed to improving health and patient care.

A unique infrastructure in Canada

The McConnell Centre for Innovative Medicine is a dedicated clinical research facility that specializes in leading clinical trials to effectively transform discoveries into new treatments for our patients and our community.

Through the CIM, clinicians and clinician scientists at the RI-MUHC benefit from one of the most modern facilities in North America, helping them develop and evaluate new treatments for some of the world's most critical diseases.

Several clinical trials on COVID-19 are underway, and some of these are seeking participants. Consult the list.
